I have been renting a house from Upper Edge for about 9 months. During this time there have been several maintenance issues - a sewer backup from overgrown tree roots; a failed condenser pump that caused some water damage in the basement; huge fallen branches from a big winter storm; and most recently a buzzing doorbell transformer. The online maintenance platform has been easy to use to notify Upper Edge about these issues as they’ve come up. They’ve been quick to respond on the online platform to arrange to send in maintenance people to address the issues that have come up, which I’ve appreciated!

Upper Edge managed my home rental while I was away in BC for a few years. The system is convenient in terms of being able to look online if a work order (meld) was submitted, and input was required. They were prompt at sending in their contractors for various repairs. They also have extra services like eaves trough cleaning, sidewalk snow removal and lawn care. There is also a service they provide when the rental is vacant, between renters so that house insurance won't lapse between tenant move-out/move-ins. Upper Edge was recommended to me by a cousin who has two properties she rents out in Winnipeg. They will check out rental candidates and have a series of criteria the potential candidates must meet to be considered. For the most part a good experience and a relief not to have to cover al the details myself while away.

#1 door code for front entrance same day positive response from them completing the request
#2 main alarm code to control an alarm system that wasn’t suppose to be activated responded positively completing the request even at 12:30 at night
#3 replacing broken shelve in fridge completed within 2 days
# 4 heating and cooking supply to a bedroom ongoing but have had there heating vendor respond
#5 electrical outlets to be installed in basement ongoing but have responded

What started out as a pretty rough move in day turned out to be probably one of the best experiences I've had in customer service ever.

Being new tenants to a new building, you'd expect everything to be super organized and professional. Upon moving into our new condo, we quickly realized our building walk-through was far from what we were expecting. Our inspector did not have all the keys to our place, we were missing a garage door opener, front door fobs, and our buzz code key was not programmed to our names. Not what you'd expect right after you hand payment over and this is what you hear.

HOWEVER, after getting into contact with Garret at Upper Edge Management, I can't stress the effort he and his team put in to rectify the entire situation. He had explained that this had never happened before and that due to COVID and the current circumstances, their office was shut down and everyone was working remotely from home. Not only did he and his team go above and beyond to make sure my fiance and I were taken care of, he reassured us that he would have all issued resolved by the next day. He had staff come and drop off all the missing items AND to go even further, he sent a gift to apologize for the inconvenience, though it was not needed!

Being in a customer service based industry, these actions go such a long way in terms of the satisfaction of the customer. I would have never expected such exceptional service after they took my money but Garret proved my fiance and I wrong and went the extra mile.

For anyone who is considering renting/leasing or using Upper Edge Management, I wouldn't hesitate to do so! They are people driven and aim to provide the best service possible.

Like most property owners, we were always looking to find a balance between 'feeling in-control' and 'having someone else look after property management for us'. Letting go and trusting someone else was quite scary and we never felt ready to take that leap.

Everything from the initial showing to the key handoff was very well organized and pleasant. The property was in great condition and clearly had been inspected and cleaned up well from the previous tenants. The routine maintenance and service ticket program is exceptional, and so far my experience has been nothing short of fantastic. We first moved into a property managed by Upper Edge in February, the property had a few problems and Upper Edge always did the most they could for us and provided great support during those hard times. I want to thank Mario and the women in the office, when we needed to find another property Mario went above and beyond expectations and showed us one as it was coming on the market to give us a better chance of being approved.
