  • We recently had a garage door malfunction on a Sunday night. The door completely went off track and twisted the frame. The result was that the door would not close! We store some valuable in the garage therefore I immediately sent an email to Upper Edge.

    I could not recall how to post a service ticket therefore I truly thought i would get no response until Monday..which would leave the garage totally exposed overnight.

    Totally surprised!! We received a response almost immediately after sending the email. We explained the problem and were told that a repair company would contact us immediately.

    While we did need to wait until the next morning, the repair company quickly assessed the problem, advising us of what needed to be done and within an hour, the garage door was fixed.

    Our thanks go out to Upper Edge on providing such a quick response, even though I didn’t go through the proper channels.

    I am continually impressed with Upper Edge. While their client is the home owner, they have always treated myself (the home renter) with respect and caring!

    New to the landlord world and soon found out there are a lot of players in the game and if you don’t know the tenancy branch system well then you can and will be eaten by the sharks.

    So thankful for the help and guidance from Garrett who had helped me with tenant name searches and advice on how to move forward with troubled tenants. The company provides free videos made available to anyone on their Facebook page which I found very informative for new landlords and tenants.

    I have leased a residential property from Upper Edge
    ( new build) I have had 5 issues and I am happy to say that upper edge has responded professionally and quickly
    #1 door code for front entrance same day positive response from them completing the request
    #2 main alarm code to control an alarm system that wasn’t suppose to be activated responded positively completing the request even at 12:30 at night
    #3 replacing broken shelve in fridge completed within 2 days
    # 4 heating and cooking supply to a bedroom ongoing but have had there heating vendor respond
    #5 electrical outlets to be installed in basement ongoing but have responded

    From my experience so far I can only supply positive comments in regards to the professionalism they have shown

    We are property owners who have used Upper Edge Property Management for the past two and a half years.

    We have been very happy with the service provided by Upper Edge. We noticed that the service, which had been good, improved further when the business transitioned from Garamark (previous name) to Upper Edge. The efforts to refocus on customer service have not gone unnoticed.

    As a property owner, the company has provided valuable information for me to evaluate my options in how to best manage the property. Moreover, they just went the extra mile by helping represent me at a municipal government hearing (I live out of province) on one day’s notice. Because there was such little notice, Garret Wong, the President of Upper Edge, went and personally handled the matter, because all of his staff were already scheduled to do other things.

    To sum it up, it has been a relief to know that the property we own has been well managed in our absence.

    What started out as a pretty rough move in day turned out to be probably one of the best experiences I've had in customer service ever.

    Being new tenants to a new building, you'd expect everything to be super organized and professional. Upon moving into our new condo, we quickly realized our building walk-through was far from what we were expecting. Our inspector did not have all the keys to our place, we were missing a garage door opener, front door fobs, and our buzz code key was not programmed to our names. Not what you'd expect right after you hand payment over and this is what you hear.

    HOWEVER, after getting into contact with Garret at Upper Edge Management, I can't stress the effort he and his team put in to rectify the entire situation. He had explained that this had never happened before and that due to COVID and the current circumstances, their office was shut down and everyone was working remotely from home. Not only did he and his team go above and beyond to make sure my fiance and I were taken care of, he reassured us that he would have all issued resolved by the next day. He had staff come and drop off all the missing items AND to go even further, he sent a gift to apologize for the inconvenience, though it was not needed!

    Being in a customer service based industry, these actions go such a long way in terms of the satisfaction of the customer. I would have never expected such exceptional service after they took my money but Garret proved my fiance and I wrong and went the extra mile.

    For anyone who is considering renting/leasing or using Upper Edge Management, I wouldn't hesitate to do so! They are people driven and aim to provide the best service possible.

  • The staff really work as a team and maintenance is quick to respond and fix. I took star off because as management they can do their best to take care of their tennants, but ultimately it's the owners of the rentals that have to approve and pay for properties repairs and upkeep. I've read reviews on other prop management companies and I'm happy I'm with upper edge and they have helped me get a home with my dog and continue to provide quick response and maintenance even during covid. Thank you all for your help !

    We first moved into a property managed by Upper Edge in February, the property had a few problems and Upper Edge always did the most they could for us and provided great support during those hard times. I want to thank Mario and the women in the office, when we needed to find another property Mario went above and beyond expectations and showed us one as it was coming on the market to give us a better chance of being approved. Upper edge really does do everything in their power to help you get into a property and I can assure you if I ever have to rent it will be through them.

    I have been renting a property for several years.
    Upper Edge has been great to me.
    They are prompt, friendly and attentive to my needs.
    I love the property I rent from them as well.
    Recently they did maintenance on tiling, paint, and garage door
    and they did great job at getting the work done.

    I owned a single family house that was managed by Upper Edge for ten years. I cannot recommend them enough. Garret and his team always took my best interests to heart. Their management system has developed considerably over the years, and they now run a modern suite of software that provides clear visibility and communications on all maintenance issues, tenancy issues, etc. The team responds quickly to enquiries, and always go above and beyond to figure things out when an unusual situation arises. In the rare event that there was an issue or a disagreement, Garret has always ensured that it is settled as quickly and as equitably as possible. I have owned rental properties in three different countries and I have worked with numerous property managers over the last 20 years. Upper Edge is one of the best I have ever worked with.
